The Grove At Adams Pond

Today I returned for my second visit to The Grove at Adams Pond. The first home in the community has been erected and is in its drywall phase. It wont be long before this spacious metro atlanta single family home is the model for the community.

Now, what would prompt me to revisit a community still in it’s early development stage? The vision for the neighborhood and promise of quality craftsmanship for future Smyrna residents. It also doesn’t hurt that my friend Erin Owenby is the New Homes Specialist for this Traton Homes community and we’re Prius twins.

My overall impression of the model home is “Wow”. The experience of this house starts with the ten foot ceilings all throughout the home. It’s spacious with ample storage and has a unique southern charm. The open layout of the main floor is perfect for entertaining, dining with family, or unwinding after a long day. The kitchen will feature plenty of cabinet and counter space for creating delicious meals or hosting guests. There’s a six foot center island with bar seating to accommodate even more people. Next to the kitchen is space to seat up to six people comfortably around a 48 to 54 inch round table. In the livingroom will be a large and warm fireplace to gather with loved ones. Just above the fireplace will be an area for mounting a tv or resting it on the mantle. Behind the kitchen is a large two car garage and mudroom area.

Something you notice more keenly after walking though hundreds of homes is that all two car garages are not the same. At Traton Homes they make sure your two car garage is large enough to house two GMC Yukons comfortably. I can’t imagine why someone would need two but, Traton Homes has a house for you.

On the second floor you’ll find a master suite the full width of the house, laundry room, full guest bathroom, and 2 additional bedrooms. Specifically in the master suite is a beautiful view of Adams Pond. This room will provide a future homeowner with a comfortable place to sleep and opportunity to create a truly relaxing atmosphere. The master bathroom has a deep walk-in closet, soaking tub, oversized standing shower, and double sinks. There’s really not much you can ask for that Traton Homes can’t make happen. The additional two bedrooms share their own unique balcony feature and are large enough to accommodate a queen or two full sized beds.

On the third floor you’ll find a media and entertainment room with a phenomenal view of the community and pond. The room is more than large enough for a pool table, refreshment area, and plenty of seating. The quiet nature of the construction also allows for a substantial entertainment system to be placed in this room without disruption to the lower floors. There’s also an additional bedroom and full bathroom for guests.

What I found most appealing about the home was the size of the bedrooms and openness of the main floor. The layout is perfect for a growing family to come together for a meal or watch a movie. While touring the house I imagined myself making dinner after work while the kids finished their homework at the island. The house has a way of carrying you into a dream of what could be possible. It truly feels like home, walking around the house even in its drywall phase. There’s a way the house warmly wraps around you once you step into the center of the livingroom.

I’m looking forward to seeing what style of appliances and decor choices are made to really highlight the homes craftsmanship and southern charms. There are some features I would shift around like the placement of the third floor bedroom. I would consider adding a balcony to the master suite in some capacity. As a whole The Grove at Adams Pond is poised to be one of Smyrna’s best and most celebrated communities.

The neighborhood is perfect for professional couples and individuals looking to grow and develop a real sense of community. Because of how the development is placed you feel like you live in a neighborhood as opposed to a subdivision. This creates a charm and intrinsic value you don’t get with a typical new home community. The proximity to shopping and great Smyrna restaurants really can’t be beat, it’s a simple walk to dinner.

In addition to the recently completed Smyrna Grove, Village at Belmont, and Grove at Coopers Pointe; Traton Homes is setting the bar very high for the quality of new homes you can expect in Smyrna. I’d recommend anyone looking to purchase a home in the high $400’s to mid $500’s pay The Grove at Adams Pond a visit.
