Every so often while I’m investigating what’s going on in my neighborhood I’ll attend an event, open house, or tour a community. On Tuesday, August 7, 2018 I attended the Cobb Association of Realtors Home Expo and met with several developers and agents. While there I had a chance to speak with Erin Owenby of Traton Homes. She told me about a new community developed by Traton she’s the representing off Pierce Avenue SE and Davis Drive in Smyrna.
A few days later I had the chance to visit the community in person. Erin was an incredibly kind host showing me the future homesites and introducing me to their builder.
The Grove at Adams Pond features a pond, firepit, unique 3rd floor walk-up options and over 50 Charleston inspired homes. The community is well located within walking distance to Smyrna Market Village restaurants, parks, Atlanta Road and quick drive to SunTrust Park/The Battery. The floor plans will be open and spacious with 3 – 5 possible bedrooms and 2.5 – 3.5 bathrooms. I had a chance to visit the site myself after speaking to Erin and view the land with the prepped lots for the homes surrounding Adams Pond. The price point of the homes currently sits in the mid $400’s and with upgrades and floor plan changes it’s expected for homes to close in the high $400’s to mid $500’s.
While touring the community I chatted with Erin asking her few questions about Traton Homes, her experience, and what to expect.
How did you get started with Traton Homes? I have been working as a new home sales agent in the Atlanta area for a few years now and was excited to hear about the opportunity to represent Traton at this incredible new Smyrna community. Traton has been building homes in the Atlanta area for over 47 years and I am excited to be a part of their team! It makes a world of difference when the builder has been around for a long time.
Why should someone purchase in The Grove at Adams Pond community? The Grove at Adams Pond has an outstanding location. Wether it's Vinings, Buckhead, or the hip town of Smyrna, there is something for everyone to eat, live, and play well all within a very short, and walkable distance. Suntrust Park is less than 3 miles away, and since we are located in this great pocket, homeowners have easy access to Windy Hill, Atalanta Rd, Hwy 41, I-75 and I-285.
Our unique pond will be stocked with fish and homeowners will be able to enjoy the pond by fishing and kayaking. Some lots will have pond frontage creating a unique escape off the owner's suite (depending on the floor plan). Homeowners have the option of adding a third level (or not) depending on their own unique needs. Our homes come well acquainted and with homebuyers having the luxury to picking out everything from the lights, to the color of the quartz in their kitchen, it's a home run with outstanding value!
What are some of the challenges you’ve faced as an agent for Traton Homes? We recently opened for sales and are nearing completion of our decorated model home and are actively working on landscaping of our beautiful community pond. I am excited to share the vision of everything we have to offer here, and am looking forward to being able to showcase our completed decorated model home this October/November.
What are you looking forward to the most in the community? I am looking forward to seeing the vision of this community come together with 55 beautiful homes, a community lake, firepit, corner parks and sidewalks. I also look forward to getting to know the wonderful homeowners that will make The Grove at Adams Pond their home.
What are things you'd like to see in your experience and career as a new homes agent (more communities in Smyrna, more single family or townhouses, etc.)?
I am excited to be a part of the launch and ultimate successful completion of The Grove at Adams Pond. I enjoy working for a builder that has a history of repeat homeowners, and I look forward to additional opportunities to represent Traton in the future.
Overall the size of the homes and phenomenal location of this community make it a great opportunity for growing families and individuals looking to make Smyrna their home. If you're someone whose interested in growing and being close to Atlanta with the advantages of being in the metro area I'd strongly recommend considering a home at The Grove at Adams Pond.
